Done All? STAND!

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Ephesians 6:13

You have prayed over the same issue, you have fasted; you have sought counsel, read the word of God … all you know to do. Yet, you have no answers? You feel drenched, tired, drained, and unsure. “Do I have any ‘spiritual’ strength to continue on?” you wonder. What do you do now? Shrug, and say, “Oh well, guess that’s not gonna happen?” “Itried my best … God knows” No. No. It’s not time to give up; not time to throw in the towel!

When you have done ALL you know to do; then it’s time to “STAND”.

 How?

“Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place.” 1

“Stand” by not doubting the TRUTH in the Word of God. Don’t doubt that your prayers are heard and your answer is on the way. Remember Daniel? His answer was dispatched immediately, but the angel had to battle to get it across to him (Daniel 10:12-13).

After we have done all we know to do, we must keep expecting, trusting God that “Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.”2. We must “Stand” by thanking him for hearing our prayers, and for what he will do; knowing that indeed, “… all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”3

We “Stand” by continuing to do His will, and maintaining our right-standing (righteousness) with Him. It is not time to go do our own “thing”, try other “alternatives”, or go “fix” it ourselves.

Our “Standing” is our place of ABSOLUTE trust in our Heavenly Father’s love and plan for us… “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”4

Knowing this brings us to a place of rest, where we feel His peace even in the midst of turmoil. He is Faithful, and He is a good God!

You think you have done all? Then STAND!

God bless you!
