How to Turn Your Dreams To Reality

We all have dreams, but we all don’t achieve our dreams. For some, it remains just a dream all of their lives. Yet some get to see the fulfillment of their dreams. Unfortunately, not too many fall into this last category. What then makes the difference between the two?

There is no magic about it, and it is not just luck either. For every successful person, there has been a process, some sacrifices here and there, and definitely, some work involved. No matter how big your dream is, there are certain requirements to move them from mere dreams to reality.

Among the requirements to get you from dream to reality, here are some cogent points to note:

You Need a Clear Vision

You have to know where you’re headed in other to know if, and when you get there. Without a clear destination in mind, the result will only be confusion and frustration. It is important to identify what exactly your dreams are. The more specific you are, the clearer your vision becomes to you. Your clarity of your vision also helps you to be focused and single-minded in the pursuit of your dreams. This is a very important requirement to seeing the manifestation of your vision and dreams.

Write It Down

Your chances of achieving your dreams and goals are greatly increased when you put them in writing. It is not enough to “think” them, or make a mental note. For one, there are too many thoughts going through your mind daily, and too many distractions coming at you through your everyday engagements. As such, it is easy to lose sight of that vision if not already captured in writing. Besides, writing your vision, dreams and goals provide a point of reference for you, which in turn help propel you to take action.

Keep It Before Your Eyes

If you have already done the first two steps above, congratulations! But there’s more to do. Any written goal not constantly reviewed, and acted upon, will quickly be forgotten, and unaccomplished. This is one of the reasons many New Year resolutions fail. Make a commitment to review what you have written on a daily basis. Early morning times are great for this exercise. If you can revisit it more than once a day, by all means do so! The more you keep your dreams and vision before your eyes, the more it becomes real and do-able to you. You’ll become more and more excited about it and driven to see it come to pass. “…for all the land that you see I will give to you…” Genesis 13:15 (ESV). What you cannot see in your mind’s eye, you may never be able to experience in the physical.

No matter how strong your faith, skills, expertise, or desire; without an action, there will be no change. The only thing that will determine whether or not you see your dream fulfilled is taking action. One of the actions you need to take is to be in partnership with a God, because without Him we can do nothing. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.’ –John 15:5 (NLT). Being in partnership with God as you go after your dream ensures you of divine backing and enablement. And if God be for you, who or what can be against you? Nothing, and no one!

Another essential step is to specify the course of action needed to take you from where you currently are, to where you desire to be (your vision). This may require research, training, getting the right relationships/associations; whatever it is, commit to doing your part.

As you begin to take one step at a time, you will be amazed at how more ideas and resources needed to help achieve your dreams begin to flow to you. So, it is very important that you get started. Keep reviewing what you have written; take stock from time to time, and you will be pleasantly surprised at how much you would have accomplished by this time next year.

Now, I urge you – Go after your dreams!

And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. –Habakkuk 2:2.

All the best,

Rali
